The holidays are great for food, family, and fun — but not so great for your drains!

Here’s how to keep your pipes happy this season:

1. Keep grease out of your sink. Grease hardens as it cools, turning into pipe glue.
   Wipe pans with a paper towel instead of rinsing them.
   
   
2. Use the trash can for scraps. Potato peels, coffee grounds, and bones should
   never go down your disposal.
   
   
3. Run hot water after dishwashing. This helps push out small debris and keeps
   pipes clear.
   
   
4. Clean your drain once a month. Pour half a cup of baking soda followed by vinegar
   — it’s natural, safe, and effective.
